Reference letter for Jonas Wied Pedersen
I highly recommend Jonas Wied Petersen as a candidate for employment. Jonas has been working as a Junior
Engineer in the International Water Department of Grontmij A/S from February until July 2015. For a period of 6
months, Jonas was stationed in Chittagong, Bangladesh, on the project “Preparation of a Sanitation and
Drainage Improvement Strategy and Master Plan for the City of Chittagong” under “Chittagong Water Supply
Improvement & Sanitation Project” (CWSISP), funded by World Bank.
On the CWSISP project, Jonas has been involved in a number of tasks associated with the Sewerage Master
Plan, including the following:
 locating potential sewage treatment plant sites, including investigating ownership of land throughout the
city;
 mapping out industrial zones and low-income areas etc.;
 develop a map of street accessibility from a sewer perspective;
 delineating priority investment areas;
 prepare outline design for a future sewer system for the priority areas and in general for the entire city.
The above tasks required the application of GIS and SewerCAD modelling.
We have been very satisfied with Jonas’ work, which has been carried out to a high standard. He quickly
understands requirements of specific tasks at hand, and the contextual framing of these tasks. Jonas has been
professional and dependable, handled his assigned tasks with complete satisfaction and shows great
enthusiasm and a high level of commitment. He works independently and effectively, and cooperates well with
international and national colleagues. He is optimistic and friendly, tackling all assignments with dedication and
a sense of humour. We have in this regard also appreciated Jonas as a valuable social asset in the work place.
He is a team player and would make a great asset to any organization. We also noted his ability to identify and
