6. The climax is when Adeline Yen Mah faces many obstacles but doesn’t give up. For example, she is constantly put down by her family as they always say she is unlucky.

7. Well the story starts when this little girl called Adeline Yen Mah is born. It is unfortunate as her mother has passed away and thus is considered bad luck due to the incident. Her brothers and sisters all do not make her feel part of the family, making her strive to overcome this. There were many obstacles she overcame. She was the poor and tortured one being left out many times by her sisters and brothers like when there were ducklings for them to choose as pets they gave her the ugliest and last duckling. Or when they took away her sweet pastry though all of them had an equal share. Luckily she has her grandmother, they both can talk about anything under the sun.

8. The interesting thing is that Adeline’s step mother’s sister cared for her although she was not really related to her by blood. She was also fair, like when they were sleeping and there was only one bed, they decided fairly who will sleep on the bed and when. Thus, her story continues with many touching stuff.

9. Well, Adeline’s perseverance eventually pays off, she wasn’t outcast anymore. Her determination was equally as strong and we should never ever neglect people around us.
