The cheetah is an endangered species that lives in open savannah, dry grasslands, and desert habitats. It has a long golden fur body with small black spots, measures 4-5 feet long with a 2 foot tail, and weighs 110-140 pounds. Cheetahs hunt gazelles, impalas, and other small hoofed animals during the day, and females give birth to litters of 2-4 cubs.
