A mature church is characterized by unity of faith, knowledge of Christ, and the seven aspects of unity called for in Ephesians. It is not childish or easily swayed, but understands fundamental doctrines. Members have good interpersonal relationships built on speaking the truth in love, respecting others, and considering their interests. All members function well as the body of Christ, utilizing their different gifts responsibly and accountable to elders who help develop them.
