2. COLONOSCOPY
A thin, flexible tube that ranges from 48 in. to 72 in. (183 cm) long. A small
video camera is attached to the colonoscope so that your doctor can take
pictures or video of the large intestine. The colonoscope can be used to look
at the whole colon and the lower part of the small intestine.
3. HEMATOCHEZIA
• passing stool with blood in it.
• melena, passing dark, tarry stool which contains digested blood, and from
bleeding around the anus, which causes bright red blood.
• the blood indicates that there is bleeding somewhere in the lower part of
the intestinal tract.
• hematochezia is colon cancer.
4. CACHEXIA
• a condition which appears in patients with
certain chronic and terminal illnesses.
• severe weight loss, along with wasting of
the muscles of the body, and they develop
a characteristically thin, sunken experience
with a corresponding loss of energy.
5. HERNIOPLASTY
• a surgical procedure used for correcting a hernia.
• occur when soft internal tissue pokes through a tear or weak area in the
wall of the abdomen.
• Femoral hernia repair is surgery to repair a hernia near the groin or upper
thigh.
