Artist Statement
Ever since childhood, I have always been fascinated by “how cartoons are made”. I have always
loved various forms of art but mainly drawing, photography and music until recently and now 3D
fascinates me the most. I love variety, and loved drawing cartoons as well as portraits and scenery.
I recently did BSc Computer Science, and the programming background is inspiring me to get into
gaming sometime in the future so I could combine my skills. However at this stage, I see myself
pursing my career in making 3d models and texturing them. I particularly enjoy combining 3D with
realism but at the same time love the anime styles and see myself texturing accordingly.
For my reel, I went for realism to bring out the essence of the romantic night life scene of Venice in
the eye of a tourist. European architecture and the scenery of Europe have always thrilled and
inspired me. My focus was on capturing the tourist gondola boat and the surrounding areas which is
a couple of buildings with shops at the ground level of the buildings which I felt gave a little more
color and life to the scene.
