The Ajna chakra governs perception and intuition. Located in the forehead between the eyes, it allows us to see things clearly without distortion and gain deeper insight. Impacts to this chakra can result in issues with memory, concentration, and accessing intuition. Exercises like yoga poses, meditation, and crystal therapy can help open and balance the Ajna chakra.
2. Ajna Ajna chakra governs perception. Herein lies
our ability to see things as they are, rather
than through the distorting filters of our views,
beliefs, fears and preferences. This higher
lens of perception allows us to see the many
pieces of our lives in an integrated whole.
Ajna chakra is the seat of intuition and true
understanding. This stage parallels Erikson's
stage of Intimacy versus Role-confusion, in
which young adults are seeking to find out
who they truly are and why they are here on
the planet.

This center is adversely impacted through witnessing
violence, being told as a child that what you see is
invalid, dogmatism, and excessive lower chakras. An
excessive condition may result in tendencies towards
psychosis, fantasy, illusion, nightmares and
projection. A deficient condition makes it difficult to
see that one has choices, to access intuition, or be
inspired by higher ideas like philosophy, literature and
spirituality. One also may struggle with memory,
concentration, inability to remember dreams and
diminished imagination and abstract reasoning.

The transpersonal capacity of Ajna chakra
is clairvoyance, in which one can see
worlds of reality beyond what the physical
senses can perceive. This also grants
deeper insight into the subtle causes and
conditions which influence reality.
