2. Manipura
Manipura governs the fire element. It is our center of power and
ego consciousness. Like a shell which protects a seed so that it
may grow, a healthy ego and Manipura chakra provides energetic
discrimination, delineating which experiences we allow into our
being and which we choose to shut out.
Manipura is also the power center of the subtle body, providing the
necessary force and ability to meet life’s challenges and manifest
one’s goals. This center is the seat of basic confidence and self-
esteem. A balanced Manipura will reflect in an individual’s ability to
manifest his or her vision in life, to set clear boundaries, and to
support others. One is able to both meet life’s challenges and be
okay with making mistakes.
3. Manipura
This chakra can be adversely impacted through
shaming, violence, an authoritarian environment in
which punishment is severely used, any form of
disempowerment, and chronic physical sickness. An
excessive condition may show as being domineering,
controlling, aggressive, arrogant, manipulative,
stubborn, and highly egoic.
“A deficient condition may result in a weak will, poor
stamina, difficulty in setting boundaries, being easily
manipulated, a weak immune system, low self-esteem,
passivity and unreliability” (Judith, 1996).
4. Manipura
The transpersonal capacity of
Manipura chakra is an ability to
conquer illness and to manifest one’s
will. The full awakening of Manipura
confers great power unto the
individual. This power can be used to
manifest one's will into Reality.
