Established to serve the recruitment needs of corporations and public sector
bodies within the world of Environment, Waste Management and Energy. We
work with major UK and international corporations, governments and
consultancies to recruit professionals within these specialised and high-growth
fields. The services we provide to clients and candidates alike are ethical, honest
and effective. We believe the key to success is to get to know our clients and
candidates as well as possible to really understand their needs and desires.
Volume recruitment is dealt with using our team of ‘Special Project Researchers’
who team up with the Consultant – working in unison to gather a shortlist of
candidates for specific roles with a view to bringing the best candidates to
interview in as short a timeframe as possible. The majority of our candidates are
already known to us, thus reducing the time spent on the process.
Turnaround on a vacancy can vary depending entirely on the seniority and technical
aspects of the role. We will take a vacancy and work on it immediately, ensuring we
have relevant CVs across to the client on the same day.
Candover Green’s consultants are genuinely passionate about the environment and the
wider world in which we live. This, along with the relevant technical experience and
qualifications helps us understand the industries we have chosen to work within.
Keeping up to date with news, attending exhibitions such as RWM, subscribing to relevant
newsletters (e.g. CIWM) and networking with industry ‘names’ keeps us appraised of our
specialist market areas and the businesses we work with.
Candover Green’s team understands your business, because of the specialisms we share.
We aim to work in close collaboration with all our clients and we record and maintain
salient details and notes of communications and client requirements on a state of the art
customer relationship management database that is remotely accessible to all our
consultants.
Knowing the industry and who works within it helps to keep turnaround times to a
minimum. We keep in touch with our candidates regularly and update them by way
of mail shots and news feeds on networking sites to keep them informed of new
opportunities and news within the sector.
We have a recruitment database of over 20,000 candidates and clients across our
divisions. In addition to this we have our individual networks on LinkedIn as well as
access to some of the largest online CV databases.
Our recruitment process starts with our in-house database whereby searches are
performed using key skills and specialisms from candidates that have registered their
CVs with us.
Our database stores comprehensive client and candidate information compliant with
the data protection act and allows rapid access to appropriate candidates via a variety
of different search methodologies.
As well as our database we utilise LinkedIn and the people within our networks to
increase our pool of candidates. If the role is technically specific, there will only be a
small pool of candidates from which to choose but because our Consultants are sector
specialists, we know who to approach.
We work with a wide range of organisations from SMEs to Large Corporate
Companies such as, Kier Group, Shanks, ISS, Biffa, Averda International, Mitie and
Tradebe, within the Environmental Services industry; Hydrock, Royal
HaskoningDHV within Consulting; ENGIE and InnovateFM to name a few.
Representing candidates is always dealt with confidentially, with both the
candidate’s and client’s best interests at heart.
Using our consultative approach, we get to know both the client and candidate as
well as possible in order to understand the structure of the business and the profile
of the candidate. This enables us to facilitate the perfect match for all given roles.
In the event we are representing a candidate who has expressed an interest in
your company and a number of competitors, we would simply place the candidate
in front of all parties and leave the end decision to the candidate. We can assist
with the decision process by liaising with the client on the candidate’s needs and
give advice. We believe in giving candidates a level playing field upon which to
make their decisions.
We come up against challenging roles regularly. These projects are managed on
a case by case basis. An example would be a very senior level position within a
large corporation. This type of role involves seeking an individual who is not
necessarily active on the market, making our search a ‘direct approach’ or head-
hunting exercise.
 Candover Green will ensure that all work undertaken on behalf of our clients will
be assigned to consultants with specialist knowledge of the sector relevant to the
requirements.
 Candover Green will provide regular feedback on the progress of all assignments
against pre-agreed targets where appropriate. Candover Green will feedback
relevant market intelligence gained on an ongoing basis.
 Candover Green will ensure that all candidates submitted for interview are fully
briefed on the organisation and the position.
 Candover Green will ensure that all candidates receive objective and accurate
feedback within 48 hours of interview with the client.
