4. How to Avoid Date Rape
Watch for Men who…..
• Want to control you
• Displays violence towards others
• Keeps you from friends
• Wants to make all the decisions
• Are “Bad Boys” …they usually are!
• Pressure you to have sex or go to a private
place.
• Appear to be pushing alcohol on you

5. Don’t…..
• Take open drinks from strangers
• Flirt about things who have no intention of
doing.
• Play “red light – green light”
• Leave drinks alone while on a dance floor
• Play dumb (Valley girl)
• Allow him to pay for everything
• Go to places where help is not close by.
• Ever say “NO” and return to intimacy

6. Do these things:
• Date in groups early on
• Provide your own transportation
• Be clear about your intentions early on
• Call a friend in front of him and tell that
person where you are and who you are with
in front of him
• Watch how he is with friends, his & yours
• Avoid any kind of intoxication
