Digitalization is one of the most significant challenges facing companies today. The shift to digital affects the structure and process of the company, it means companies have to redesign their organization, but this shift requires more than digital investment.
Leaders are important people in the company to adapt and develop. In a digital environment, leaders can’t simply "manage" jobs. They must be digital technology literate, embrace digital mindsets and attitudes, engage their workforce and inspire their team to move forward in the process of digital transformation with real business impact.
What are the characteristics of the brains of digital leaders and how to build someone into a digital leader?

Social as a marketing and engagement tool for Government
Social media is a powerful mass media tool for engaging with the masses. This tool
helped the BJP immensely during its Lok Sabha political campaign. And the BJP is now
using Social as a strategic tool for the forthcoming State election.
Through social media platforms, government can initiate discussions and seek feedback,
apart from maintaining constant engagement with citizens. So how is the BJP
leveraging social media as a marketing tool to spread messages about its work? How is
Ogilvy and Mather helping in this initiative? And what kind of political traction do we
see on Facebook and Twitter?
What's the best way for politicians and citizens to leverage social? What's the tone to be
maintained by politicians on Twitter? How should they respond to posts?
Confirmed panellists:
1. Dr. Arvind Gupta, Information and Technology Head – BJP
2. Vinit Goenka, National Co-convenor, BJP
3. Karthik Srinivasan, National Lead, Social@Ogilvy, Ogilvy & Mather

Who knows the name of their billion customers? The Chief Marketologist!
Perfect information in real time has been the Holy Grail for customers. And now,
thanks to technology it's almost here. But wait, that big data, it's really big -it's
threatening to drown the consumer (and marketer!) in a sea of disjointed factoids.
Successful marketers of the future will be those who use technology to connect the
many dots and offer a custom - not just customized - relevant experience.
1. This is the Era of Experience with technology as the disruptor. Those who 'get' it
will rule the economy
2. Can CMOs function without a tech roadmap? Do you have one?
3. Will CMOs become more tech-savvy or will CIOs become marketers?
4. How should existing businesses adapt to the new customer expectations? Is it
possible to do this without redesigning the entire business?
5. What are the skillsets required to succeed as a marketer in the next 5 years?

Cars are set to become smarter, with machine learning, artificial intelligence, sensor
networks, and learning algorithms embedded in systems. Mobile phones and tablets
will integrate with driving dashboards, through voice-enabled apps that allow drivers to
navigate maps or send messages -- without removing their hands from the steering
wheel. For the passenger, the on-board entertainment system will be an extension of

BFSI: How to achieve 7.5 crore bank accounts -- PM's financial inclusion program
(PMJDY)
Issuing crores of bank accounts in a few months is a humongous task. While the idea is
not new, and was proposed during the tenure of the UPA government, it did not come to
fruition due to certain challenges. Were they technology-related challenges or just road
blocks due to bureaucracy and slow decision making?
What are the challenges overcome, to achieve this target? And what kind of indigenous
technology do we need to overcome these challenges?
What are the various services that can be offered to rural customers?
Panellists will also share their rich experiences in this area, presenting the typical
hurdles in India.

Digital India in a digital world through financial inclusion
India's success in IT is unparalleled and truly transformative. IT India is perhaps the
world's largest incumbent IT shop and as such it is the most susceptible to digital
disruption. India's digital future rests in how we see the future as an acceleration of
today or as an innovative discontinuity for the future. To ensure this, the government
feels it is crucial to eradicate poverty and bring every Indian to come into the financial
stream. And to ensure this, the government has mandated the provision of 7.5 crore (75
million) bank accounts in 5 months.

Building a data strategy to stay competitive
While organizations are grappling with the problem of organizing and storing realms of
business data, few have managed to tap this pool of data for meaningful insights and
business outcome. Some organizations are establishing platoons of data scientists to
study data, employing visualization and other analytics tools.
Every business needs to have a data strategy in place to stay competitive. But IT budgets
have been practically stagnant, and in some industries, even depressed. So the
investment in analytics is yet to be made.
The panellists will provide concrete anecdotal evidence on how big data has added
value to customers across verticals. They will talk about their successful projects and
also about implementations elsewhere in the world. Experts on this panel will provide
examples of best practices and details about approach to take, methodology to follow
and what to expect.

Cloud – a great leveller, disrupter and business accelerator for MSMEs
The Cloud is disrupting traditional enterprise business models. Old economy businesses
took years to grow their customer bases, build brands, roll out new products & services,
expand to global markets, and monetise services. On the other hand, start-ups and
SMBs, which are early adopters of cloud, have grown their user bases in minutes and
monetised services at a phenomenal pace – thus disrupting old business models.
Thanks to cloud, start-ups can set up their IT infrastructure in minutes, and at a fraction
of the cost of setting up a captive data center. The cloud has been a great leveller,
enabling start-ups and SMBs to compete with mega corporations that have been
around for decades. In fact, the large corporations view these disrupters as major
threats.

Disruptive technology for the Healthcare sector
One of the biggest challenges impeding the implementation of IT in the healthcare
sector is the high cost of technology. It is difficult to measure ROI for initial investments
(CAPEX). For instance, the cost of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is prohibitively
high. There are silos of information, disconnected and outdated systems, and patient
records are yet to be digitized. Thus Healthcare lags behind most sectors in the adoption
of technology.
The Panelists will discuss their strategies to tackle these challenges. There are
technologies such as Federated Clouds and SaaS-based solutions. Panelists will also
discuss advances in the application of mobility for telemedicine, and personal
healthcare - wearable technology products. A Case Study from a leading hospital will be
included in this discussion.
According to Gartner, Health care providers in India are expected to spend $1.08 billion
US Dollars on IT products and services in 2014, an increase of 4 percent over 2013.
IT services, which includes consulting, implementation, IT outsourcing and business
process outsourcing, will be the largest overall spending category throughout the
forecast period within the health care providers sector.

How to build 100 smart cities in India
The government has announced an allocation of Rs 7,060 crore for 100 smart cities in
the Union Budget. This amount is for modernization of existing infrastructure and also
for setting up new satellite cities that are self-sufficient. The initiative is aimed at
reducing infrastructure strain in over- crowded cities.
Digitization and connectivity will be at the core in smart-enabling these cities. These
cities will be the new business hubs, and will generate jobs. Smart cities will be
knowledge hubs and will embody smart, eco, and learning. A good example is Sino-
Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC).
So how is the IT industry preparing to tap this opportunity? What are the opportunities?
What is the best way for the industry to collaborate (Public-Private partnership) with
government to support this big and bold initiative?

Internet of things – transforming lives and business
Much is being written about the Internet of Things these days. IoT or IoE is really about
networks, devices, people and processes – and how these are all getting interconnected.
The enabling technologies are mobility, cloud computing, big data analytics and social –
a collective term for this is SMAC.
But IoT technology will require heavy engineering, technical expertise and of course,
plenty of funding for research. No single organization will be capable of providing an
end-to-end IoT solution. Rather, it will involve an ecosystem of players offering different
components, at different layers of the stack. Government and Policy makers will need to
frame guidelines to protect a user's privacy and to prevent misuse.
The innovations and breakthrough technologies for IoT will come from the start-ups,
with funding from venture capitalists. These start-up will be deemed as “disrupters”
and their IP and companies may eventually be acquired by IT behemoths or other
disrupters such as Google, Salesforce and Amazon. What we are witnessing right now
are partnerships between consumer electronics companies and the start-ups offering
this innovation.
Panellists will offer perspectives on what it would take for IoT technology to become
mainstream and affordable. They will talk about current and future applications in
verticals like manufacturing and healthcare. How will IoT transform business? How
should organizations prepare?

1. Abhishek H Latthe, Founder & CEO at SenseGiz, Inc.
