7. Types of Post-Secondary Education Vocational/Technical School – The completion of a career/technical school may result in an associates degree, a certificate or a diploma. These schools provide students with the skills needed for trades such as carpentry, masonry, auto mechanics and electronics or technical occupations such as computer techs, radiograph techs, and dental and medical lab techs. * The length of the programs depends on the course of study chosen.
