Ciudad Obregón is the second largest city in the state of Sonora, Mexico. Its main economic activity is agriculture, centered around the important irrigation systems of the Yaqui Valley located south of the city. One of the top tourist sites in Alaska, the Childs Glacier is now only accessible by boat. The 56 mile Copper River Highway that leads from Cordova to the Million Dollar Bridge is no longer passable beyond mile 36.
This is also the general location of the US Fish and Game sonar station used to monitor (primarily) the sockeye salmon populations from the middle of May through to the end of July. The purpose of this sonar station is to insure that there are adequate numbers of sockeye salmon escaping upstream for sport, personal and subsistence fishing, and to ensure adequate numbers of Copper River salmon are able to reach their spawning grounds 300 miles from the Gulf of Alaska.

3. A LITTLE OF THEIR HISTORY

dynamic and flavorful line of our culture .
11. WAKABAKI
The Yaqui ethnicity, one of the largest of Mexico
use of natural elements inherited wakabaki us , a
broth that is one of the main traditional dishes
prepared on major holidays. Its ingredients are:
chickpeas, beef rib , pumpkin , potato, cabbage,
carrot and green beans . Its preparation starts with
cutting the wood and sacrifice of beef to be served
to feed the guests at the feast.
12. CAGUAMANTA
Typical dish made from stingray and shrimp generally prepared
as broth in which meat stingray , shrimp and vegetables added .
Broth in dish is served or prepared tacos caguamanta , when the
broth is served only called Vichy , in some places the same broth
with shrimp is known as chucki . Its name derives from the word
loggerhead and stingray , originally prepared this dish
loggerheads but from the ban on fishing of this marine species ,
it was decided to replace the loggerhead by stingray meat . This
dish was created in the late nineteenth century in Obregon City.
14. BASEBALL
Baseball is the sport that has the largest number
of fans in the city about 60% of the people of the
city he calls himself fond of baseball, the home
team are the Yaquis de Obregon, which
