Piura is highly appreciated for its colonial
buildings, such as the Cathedral of Piura
with its golden altar. The “Main Square", is
a small square lined with tamarinds. The
Church of San Francisco, where Piura
declared its independence from Spain in
1821. In addition, there is the Miguel Grau
Museum, a place full of history. Here there
are many photos and memories of the 19th
century war hero.
TALARA
• Talara is a hot city, people usually visit its tourist places, but today they
prefer to go to the beaches like Mancora, Vichayito or Lobitos.
• Here you can surf on the beach, build sand castles or practice any sport.
• In addition, you can eat in many restaurants in the
center of Talara, where you will find a varied menu
of seafood dishes. Because of its proximity to the
port, it has typical dishes such as ceviche, shrimp
chupe and fish crackling.

day of the dead is celebrated on November
first. It is a date that is used to honor family
and friends who are no longer in this world.
It begins in the morning with a ritual called
“the coronation of the little angels”.
They bring the favorite foods of their
deceased and play music to celebrate the
lives of their deceased.

Our environment is very diverse and it is important to fully
understand the culture of other places, one of the best
ways to accumulate experiences is to travel. This allows us
to have a different perspective and see beyond what we
can imagine. Traveling favors learning, the experience
allows us to compare and see the differences between the
customs of another place and ours and understand the
historical concept
