PREFACE
        Continuous     Comprehensive Evaluation is authentic as it serves the higher aim of
educating the whole person. It is incremental, timely, child friendly and addresses and
celebrates the diverse capabilities of the child when practiced with planning, meticulous
implementation and analytical follow-up.

The objective of this manual is to serve as a guide to Primary Teachers irrespective of their
levels of knowledge of CCE, skill and experience to :

       Conduct formative assessments FA2 &FA4 ,keeping in mind the guidelines given by
        KVS
       Provide basic resources and references to upgrade their knowledge of CCE in general
        and formative assessments in particular
       Provide a blueprint for planning, implementing and follow-up in the process of
        formative assessments
       Outline a suggested list of Activities which are suitable to the split of syllabus
     Design formats for recording and reporting


        The material for the Manual has been sourced from:


       List of Indicators from the NCERT Source Book on Assessment for each subject
     Guidelines from KVS guidelines on CCE – www.kvsangathan.nic.in
     Math Lab Activities from CBSE portal- www.cbse.nic.in



        The Manual will be in two forms- Hard and soft (DVD/CD). A copy of each will be issued
        to each Mentor who will use it as guideline to orient all the Primary Teachers of the
        Vidyalaya.
