The Industrial Design Center at Howest is a knowledge center that transfers research and academic results from the industrial product design department to industry. It provides industry-relevant projects for students to gain real-life experience and motivate innovation. Students develop 150 ideas, 90 prototypes, and 30 final products annually. Example student projects include an eco-friendly kid's bike, an inflatable artwork, and a sustainable babysitter device. The center aims to expand its industry network and involvement through collaborations.
