Day Camp Employer Reference
1. I am pleased to writea referencefor Erich. I have known Erichsince he
was in first grade as a camper at our day camp. He grew up, came
through our camp leader in training program, and worked up to a
confident, talented returningstaff member of our summer team.
Our camp is a traditional 8-week day camp program. Erich has worked
with 1st and 2nd gradecampers, and then with mixed ages through 8th
grade in our after-camp program. Our program offerscampersa variety
of activities throughout the day, from swimmingto arts and crafts to
sports and weekly field trips. Counselorsprovideafun day where
campersare engaged, given opportunitiesand supportto meet new
friendsand try new activities. Campersleave our camp tired, happy, and
filled with confidencefrom the new things they'vetried.
Erich is a kind, funny, organizedand thoughtfulindividual. Hetakeshis
job seriously, and brings his wholeand true self to his job. He findsthe
funny, uniquepartsof each camper and helps them feel happy and
confidentwith themselves. For someonewho has been around our
camp and "knowsit all," he is always willing to share, hear from others,
change, adapt, and continually seeksnew ideasfor activities.
Erich truly enjoysbeing with people. He lovesto laugh, tell stories, and
learn together. He alwaysgreets each camper and parenteach day,
immediately puttingany nervousnessor anxiety to rest. He knows
almost every camper'sname!
I look forward to seeing Erich grow through his career and I highly
recommend him for any position workingwith people, especially
children. He is an excellent role modeland an excellent human being
