1898 Karl Robert Kahles founds the company Kahles
1900 Kahles, the main optic product supplier of the Kingdom of Austria
(K&K), develops binoculars and the TELORAR rifle scope with
5 magnifications for the army
1926 Kahles presents the first Helia rifle scope
1949 Kahles develops the first variable rifle scopes
1960 Kahles develops as the first manufacturer waterproofed rifle scopes
1972 The new Kahles-AMV coating offers for the very first time a light
transmission of more than 90% in a rifle scope
1998 On the occasion of their 100 year anniversary, Kahles sets again a
milestone in the rifle scope history with presenting the new Helia C series
2005 The innovative Kahles multizero TM ballistic elevation adjustment
opens an new era in precision shooting
2007 Kahles develops the “Automatic Light” - the world‘s first intelligent
on-off mechanism for illuminated rifle scope reticles
2012 Kahles presents in its new „green“ facility in Guntramsdorf near
