I am writing this letter of recommendation for Carter Sherman, who is a Community Health Education
major in the Department of Human Performance and Health Education in the College of Education and
Human Development.
Carter is a student in many of my undergraduate classes. He attended classes regularly and on time. He
is an excellent student who completes assignments and tests on time. He participated well in group
assignments and computer lab in my Measurement and Evaluation class. He was always well prepared
for quizzes and tests. Carter’s class participation in discussion was insightful and thoughtful.
He is a member of Eta Sigma Gamma, Gamma Mu the Health Education honor group for highly achieving
students. As a member, he attended meetings and participated excellently in group projects designed
to facilitate professional development. He is a member of the Executive board serving the group as the
Social Marketing Officer. In this role he was responsible for social promotion of the group including
social media and billboards update. He performed this role excellently. For his excellent service, he was
selected for outstanding service award by Eta Sigma Gamma, Gamma Mu.
In light of his intellectual ability, punctuality, participation, membership and service in the honorary
