- we are the only company that takes over the ostrich chicks
from the breeding farm with sanitary-veterinary certifica-
tion;
- we feed all birds with standardised rations (Starter, Grow-
er, Breeder, Maintenance) designed specifically by Ostrich
Solutions LTD. UK;
- all birds accepted for meat processing come from flocks
blood tested for health certification;
- our meat batches are marketed only with laboratory
analisys report and conformity certificate - OVAL STAMP
- our bird transportation are specialized and certified;
- we ship our products with Allianz Cargo Insurance.

OUR CREDO
At COA we are fanatical about protecting the health
of our customers. So, to ensure the safety of our meat
products, we always go the extra mile by :
1. Sample blood testing birds from each farm to
ensure no unhealthy birds.
2. Birds are sprayed with a dilute solution of Hydrogen
Peroxide on arrival at the abattoir to ensure the feath-
ers are not harbouring any bacteria or virus that could
be transferred to the meat. (All animals including os-
trich can have many different virus and bacteria on the
surface of their skin which are naturally in the environ-
ment).
3. The complete area in the abattoir used for processing
our birds is thoroughly disinfected by a hospital stan-
dard disinfectant each time before processing begins
including the lairages and the cold rooms.
4. Our staff is thoroughly trained to never handle a car-
cass after touching the outside of the skin of a bird.
5. Our meat is vacuum packed convenient size packs in
individual muscle groups and then shock frozen to -40o
C before being stored at -18o
C.
6. When travelling, we always use temperature data log-
gers to ensure the meat is kept at all times in its frozen
condition.
7. Our birds are reared in the finest conditions, never
before seen in eastern Europe, in extensive paddocks to
allow them to exercise freely and fed excellent quality
food to enable them to grow quickly and produce great
tasting meat that has an extensive shelf life.
