To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great confidence that I recommend Carolynn Wicks for a position as a
leader in your organization. Carolynn has served as my assistant in her role as
Administrative Manager this past school year, and I could not have asked for a
more competent direct report. She has exceeded my expectations in every
aspect of her work.
Carolynn has demonstrated initiative throughout this past school year. She
anticipates projects, completes them with quality and thoroughness, and often
has ideas for improvements. Carolynn is able to trouble-shoot problems, offering
multiple solutions and can confidently identify and implement responses. I trust
Carolynn’s judgment and appreciate her willingness and competence in taking
action steps.
Effective communication with staff and families is key in providing exemplary
service to our school community. Carolynn serves as our direct point of
communication within the building and across the district. Carolynn sets a tone
of clarity and professionalism. In a school setting a wide range of needs are
presented in our office. Carolynn is able to answer questions, provide
information, offer comfort, and de-escalate situations when necessary. I trust
Carolynn to handle my correspondences in my absence, and am confident in her
representation of Northpoint Elementary and myself.
Carolynn is a model of efficiency. She manages the entire Northpoint Office,
supervising two paraprofessionals. She is able to multitask, focusing on expected
tasks and on needs that present themselves throughout the course of the day. I
often joke with Carolynn that she must never have a to-do list, in that she meets
deadlines asked of her and those she imposes upon herself. She has improved
processes for managing all expenditures, purchasing, and short and long term
hiring.
Carolynn will never hesitate to step into other roles throughout the school. When
short staffed, Carolynn has stepped in as a classroom leader, a recess
paraprofessional, a crossing guard, a nurse, and a hall monitor! The smooth
functioning of Northpoint is of great value to Carolynn, and she takes pride in
doing whatever it takes to see that the needs for our school community are met
effectively and efficiently.
I also find Carolynn to be extremely trustworthy. She holds herself to the highest
standards of confidentiality while honoring students, families, and staff. This
quality relates directly to data privacy laws and to Carolynn’s partnership with
me as I reflect upon and process my work.
I recommend Carolynn Wicks for a leadership position with your company, certain
that she is an excellent candidate and will bring much to your organization. I will
find it difficult to replace Carolynn, and who ever hires Carolynn will be very
fortunate to have her on their team.
