Informatics Pharmacist
Informatics Pharmacist with advanced clinical expertise needed to work closely with
the Director to strategize, implement, and monitor various Pharmacy and CPOE

Pharmacy Analyst - IT
Basic Function:
The Clinical Information Systems Analyst (Pharmacist/Pharmacy Tech) is responsible
for organizing and directing the implementation and support of the MEDITECH
Pharmacy module, clinical modules that integrate with, or impact Pharmacy, and
other Pharmacy systems (i.e. Pyxis, automated dispensing cabinets). The Analyst
shares the responsibility with clinical departments for optimal use of supported
systems, including all planning, building, troubleshooting, testing, training and
understanding the MEDITECH modules and other hospital software. The Clinical Analyst
must be knowledgeable of all Hospital systems and how they relate to each other.
Strong communication and process management skills are required. The position must
be able to be a team leader and oversee all aspects of implementation and upgrade
projects. The position serves as a liaison between IT, Pharmacy and clinical services.
The position functions as a consultant to the hospital staff to utilize the system
effectively to maximize patient safety and productivity. Hospital Electronic Health
Record experience is required, direct experience with MEDITECH is preferred. This
position requires schedule flexibility

CLINICAL APP SUPPORT ANALYST
The Clinical Application Support Analyst is responsible for understanding clinical
requirements in an operational healthcare setting and translating those requirements
into formal specifications for products and services. This includes leveraging capabilities
of a clinical information system to re-engineer clinical workflow supporting the use of
clinical technologies. The Clinical Application Support Analyst also is responsible for
supporting physicians, physician extenders, nurses and ancillary staff in the utilization of
multiple clinical information systems that impact their workflow. The Clinical
Application Support Analyst uses a strong understanding of physician and/or clinical
workflow processes and identifies the impact of a system's functionality on those
processes. They will work closely with other members of BayCare Information Services,
Nursing Leadership, Medical Staff Services, and Clinical Education. They must possess

Informatics Pharmacist - IT Pharmacist
Summary of Duties:
The Division Pharmacy IT Applications Specialist serves as the primary subject expert for
Pharmacy-related applications. Primary responsibilities include the
1) implementation and support of market-wide standardization, utilization, and
optimization activities related to pharmacy IT applications and

Description:
The Pharmacy Informatics Specialist, under the direction of the Director of Clinical
Informatics, will work closely with Pharmacy Leadership & Clinical Pharmacists, Clinical
Informatics Analysts, Clinical Process Facilitator(s), IS Application Analysts, and vendor
experts to translate end-user needs into optimal configuration and build of pertinent
Horizon Clinical applications (primarily HMM, HEO, HARX, and others as appropriate).
Requirements:
Pharmacist license required. 5-7 years experience. Must obtain Epic certification.

Pharmacist, Automation and Device Specialist
Job Description:
Implement and maintain organization wide pharmacy devices and ancillary systems. Devices
and systems include, but are not limited to: Omnicell, Carefusion (Alaris), Talyst, Intermec, MILT
packaging software and others. Maintain software databases. Develop, modify, test, and debug
programs as they relate to device and ancillary systems. Collaborate with Cerner pharmacy
resources and other ancillary IS teams for integrated work. Identify and address all production
support issues that impact pharmacy operations. Act as liaison for supported vendors. Point
person for device enhancements. Participate in pharmacy informatics on-call rotation.
Requirements:
Required Education/Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Strong Information Technology skills.
- Strong project management ideologies and experience leading small to medium projects, end to end.
- Experience with interpretation of regulations and implementation, monitoring of systems to meet regulatory requirement such as JCAHO, etc.
- Experience training others.
- Previous experience with devices and vendors for example: Omnicell, CareFusion, Pyxis, Talyst, Zebra, Intermec, and others.
Required Credentials:

Clinical Applications Pharmacist
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Clinical Applications Manager, the Clinical Applications Pharmacist assists
with maintaining clinical application systems for outpatient pharmacy services provided by
outpatient pharmacy staff. Services include but are not limited to: training, evaluation,
design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computerized
outpatient pharmacy systems. The Clinical Applications Pharmacist is knowledgeable in
various aspects of information systems terminology, information systems processing, and
desktop solutions. He/She needs to be able to set priorities and work independently. He/She
needs to keep abreast of current developments and issues in the practice of Pharmacy
Informatics and assist or initiate special projects assigned by the Clinical Applications
Manager. The Clinical Applications Pharmacist may perform the duties of Staff Pharmacist as
needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the state of Maryland
Certified by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy to provide vaccinations preferably upon hire
and required within six months of employment
Active CPR certification
Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in a Pharm.D. degree or B.S.
Masters Degree in relevant field preferred.
Pharmacy Informatics Residency preferred.

Clinical Informatics Analyst
The Clinical Informatics Analyst (CI) will provide application, implementation, technological consultation, and operational
support. Responsibilities will include clinical applications which support Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, etc. and
may include different software applications such Meditech, Cerner, Medhost, SIS, and PACS systems. Will play an integral part
in the Project Management process with responsibilities to include leadership for designated projects and
documentation/support for project development, will participate in clinical meetings with business partners while promoting
clinical support and optimization activities. The CI will be responsible for deployment and workflow assessment/improvement
for clinical applications as assigned, for basic knowledge of regulatory needs as they relate to clinical documentation and the
use of clinical applications such as CMS and HIPAA. Responsibilities will also include resolution of Incident and service requests
and on-call support for all clinical applications during designated times as dictated by departmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in a clinical field. Bachelors or Master's degree in a clinical field strongly
preferred.
Current GA license (or ability to obtain license) in clinical field required (RN, Radiology Technician, RCP, or Pharmacist)
Minimum of two years' experience within a clinical setting required (five years' experience preferred).
Two years of Clinical Informaticist experience is strongly preferred.
Preferred experience with Meditech, PACS, and/or Medhost software applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, testing, and training within clinical software while providing proven customer
service.
Experience working on multiple projects concurrently and experience within PMO project documentation.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, and Visio.

IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist
IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist will be responsible for systems across multiple departments system-wide and requires
interactions at all levels of staff and management. An understanding of the interrelationships of health care systems
and user functions is required.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with facility staff, technical staff and various committees to guide implementation and maintenance of
clinical systems and be responsible for pharmacy formulary management; investigate, recommend and define
customization requirements; and use project planning tools and principals to define implementation tasks.
Determine end-user system requirements and provide written ROI analysis of proposed new systems and modifications
to existing systems, including costs, benefits, issues, and policy concerns.
Assist with development and coordination of acceptance testing scenarios; demonstrate understanding of the
interrelationships of company systems.
Work closely with Vendors; will support educational and training requirements for end user staff by coordinating
vendor training, scheduling and developing formalized current competency requirements; may assist with RFP process.
Qualifications:
BS in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
AK licensure or eligibility.
5+ years of pharmacy experience, including system implementations in areas with multiple application systems.
Responsible for pharmacy formulary management within clinical information system. Must demonstrate knowledge
of drug interactions and dosage calculations.
Prior experience in a CPOE environment.
Clinical informatics experience.
Cerner experience.
Expert with PC based productivity tools (e.g. spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail).
Familiar with WEB and mainframe based application development tools and other client server based applications
design.
Pharmaceutical oncology experience strongly preferred.

Manager - Clinical Application Services
Duties Include :
•Works with the Division Clinical Specialist team to identify and promote team goals
•Coordinates the implementation of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to pharmacy IT
applications
• In role of clinical applications/Meditech module expert, provides user support and system maintenance for assigned clinical applications for
division hospitals
• Conducts problem analyses and timely and accurate resolution for complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or

education
• Provides training to division specialists and facility clinical analysts and super users (train the trainer) in pharmacy applications
• Works with the Division Clinical Specialist Team to define pharmacy application reporting standards and works with facilities to implement the
standards
• Performs clinical applications report writing as needed and coordinates priorities for reporting requests with the Division Reporting Analyst
