Editor's Notes

  • #2 Today we are going to talk about Proper Nouns.  Can anyone tell me what a proper noun is?  Why are these nouns Capitalized? This is what we are going to learn today.
  • #3 The first letter of a Proper noun is capitalized. This helps us know if we are talking about a particular person, place or thing. If the first letter is not capitalized then we are not talking about a specific person, place, or thing. Now lets use these pictures to write out examples, keeping in mind that Proper nouns need to be capitalized.
  • #4 Lets see if we can find what is wrong in each of these sentences. Each check mark stands for a mistake in the sentence. I also would like to know why these errors are wrong, how did you come to find your corrections? Do we capitalize every noun? What are some nouns we do not capitalize and why do we not capitalize them? Tomorrow we will discuss a lesson on common nouns.
