which Capital 9-1 in the first half, before cutting
the deficit to 10-4 late in the third quarter.

STORY LINES
The Capital University men’s lacrosse team plays host to John Carroll in this afternoon’s Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at Bernlohr Stadium. Today also marks the final home regular season game.
Capital comes into today’s game looking to rebound following its third loss in the last four games, as the Crusaders most recent game came in a 17-6 defeat to cross-town rival Otterbein last Saturday
afternoon. The Crusaders are currently ranked 11th in the NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game (12.67), 13th in scoring defense (6.33), while also placing 22nd in face-off winning percentage
(.614). Freshman defender Adam Thomas is currently ranked eighth in the NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game (3.20), while fellow freshman and defender Tate Stover ranks 14th in the same
category (2.90). Classmate in midfielder Michael Trefethern places 16th in all of Division III face-off winning percentage (.661), while freshman goalie Jordan Adkins ranks in the top 40 in all of Division III
in goals-against average (7.39).
John Carroll enters today’s matchup having won two of its last four games, including their most recent game in a 10-7 win over Baldwin Wallace this past Saturday. Other recent contests include back-
to-back losses to Mount Union (8-6) and Otterbein (15-7), while the last win of a seven game win streak was recorded on Apr. 5 at Beloit (9-3). The Blue Streaks are led this season by freshman attack
Declan O’Grady, who currently leads the team in points (41), while also placing second on the team in goals (29) and assists (12). Fellow freshman and attack Stephen Leous leads the team in goals (32),
while classmate and attack Michael Roth leads the team in assists (20). John Carroll currently ranks 19th in all of Division III in scoring defense (6.46), good for second in the conference.

Freshman defender Adam Thomas has
solidified himself as a key component
on the Capital defensive front in the
team’s first varsity season in 2014.
Thomas, a Powell, Ohio, native,
currently ranks first in the OAC and
eighth in the NCAA Division III in
caused turnovers per game (3.20). In
addition, he has helped bolster a Crusader defense which has
the best scoring defense mark in the conference and 13th best
in the country (6.33).
In his first year at Captial, Thomas is currently majoring in
Chemistry (Pre-Med).
OAC Tournament Information: The 2014 OAC men’s lacrosse
tournament begins on Wednesday, Apr. 30 with semifinals
games. The top four teams in the conference qualify for the
