Mr. Otis, an American minister, bought Canterville Chase in England despite warnings that it was haunted. Strange things began occurring after he moved in, such as a bloodstain that would reappear after cleaning. The ghost attempted to frighten the Otis family but was surprised they were not afraid. This depressed the ghost. Whenever he tried to scare the children, they would find ways to end up hurting and scaring him instead. The ghost decided to go to the library one day and met Virginia Otis. He told her his name was Simon and that he had killed his wife over 300 years ago and was bound to the house. He asked Virginia for help to die and she granted his wish, accompanying him

4. Mr. B. Otis, who was an American minister,
bought Canterville Chase while everyone
had warned that it was the presence of a
ghost. The owner himself had made such a
confirmation since it did not want to fool
with your purchase. Once purchased the
house Mr. Otis went to live there moved to
England, and from the first time strange
things began to happen within the housing.
