The document discusses rebranding hemp as "Canterpene" for use as a healthspan and lifespan extension supplement. It proposes that Canterpene, a proprietary formulation of milled hempseed, could help slow aging and regenerate damage through its cannabis compounds like cannabidiol (CBD). CBD in particular has shown benefits for conditions associated with aging like oxidative stress, arthritis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease. The document argues that aging, while not a disease, is fatal, so Canterpene may have potential as a preventative anti-aging strategy to "beat the clock" through natural means.

It summarizes research showing benefits of cannabidiol for conditions associated with aging like oxidative stress, arthritis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease. The document argues that Canterpene could help prevent aging and related diseases through these biochemical effects and represents an opportunity in the anti-aging market.
CBD, Medical Marijuana & Traumatic Brain Injurycedwvugraphics
This document discusses the potential benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) and medical marijuana for treating traumatic brain injury (TBI). It notes that CBD and THC have antioxidant and neuroprotective properties, and the endocannabinoid system plays a role in neural signaling and cellular homeostasis. Preclinical studies suggest that CBD and THC may help limit neurological damage following TBI by reducing inflammation, protecting neurons, and regulating cell death and survival. While more research is still needed, CBD and whole-plant cannabis extracts show promise as a first-line treatment for TBI due to CBD's multifunctional properties and potential synergistic effects with THC and other cannabis compounds.

This document discusses marijuana as medicine, including its pharmacology, clinical evidence for use, adverse effects, and legal issues surrounding prescribing. It notes that marijuana contains cannabinoids like THC and CBD that bind to cannabinoid receptors in the body. There is moderate evidence it can help chronic pain, spasticity, nausea, and other conditions, but it also carries risks of side effects like dizziness, fatigue, and hallucinations. Prescribing marijuana legally requires meeting states' regulatory requirements.
The document discusses the use of herbal treatments for epilepsy. It notes that while some herbal remedies have been used for centuries to treat seizures, the evidence for their efficacy is limited and mixed. Many herbs can interact with antiepileptic drugs in ways that increase side effects or decrease drug levels. The document cautions that while some individuals may benefit, herbs could worsen seizures for others or have other health risks that outweigh potential benefits for most epilepsy patients. Open communication between doctors and patients about herbal use is important.
This document discusses nutraceuticals and their potential uses. It begins by classifying nutraceuticals into nutrients, herbals/phytochemicals, and dietary supplements. It then discusses some specific nutraceuticals like artichoke extract, green tea catechins, and apple extracts, outlining their bioactive components and potential health benefits such as cholesterol lowering, antioxidant effects, and neuroprotective properties. The document also discusses using nutraceuticals like apple varieties to help treat metabolic syndrome and compares this approach to using atorvastatin.

This document summarizes an industrial hemp bioactives presentation given to the Senate Cannabis Hearings. It discusses the agricultural production and market perspectives of industrial hemp bioactives. Key points include that farmers require the bioactives market for price stability, bioactives extracted from hemp grain at 1% can generate $1000/acre, and that regulated bioactive derivatives are important to support farmers and processors. The document argues that applying cannabis excise taxes to industrial hemp bioactives would cripple the crop's viability for Canadian agriculture.

The document discusses solutions for enabling development of the hemp bioactives industry in Canada by creating integrated supply chains using intellectual property. It proposes a system of networked generic supply chains licensed by a control tower operating system. This would allow various sectors such as food, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, licensed marijuana producers and dispensaries to commercialize hemp derivatives within regulations. The intellectual property could provide licensing opportunities to rapidly expand the hemp bioactives industry in Canada and generate economic benefits.
Molecular hydrogen biomed-applications-888Morris Johnson
molecular hydrogen is a very simple yet never yet commercialized regenerative medicine agent.
My patent seeks to create the economic infrastructure to support a broad range of applications based upon a solid base of evidence for efficacy as an anti-aging tool.
The document proposes establishing property rights over one's own body to support human self-directed evolution without needing permission from other entities. It presents 5 potential test cases of applying such property rights and discusses some of the issues and implications that would arise from legally recognizing self-ownership of one's body. The document is intended to facilitate discussion on proactively taking a stance that individuals have full control and ownership over their own bodies.
This document proposes enshrining human, transhuman, and posthuman self-agency through property rights law and statute. It discusses how property rights could allow individuals to direct their own evolution without permission from other entities. The document provides context on how religions, cultures, and medicine have historically limited self-ownership and agency over one's own body. It argues that property rights may be a way for individuals to legally support modifying and evolving their bodies as a form of self-expression and personal development.
The document provides a monthly summary of the activities of an individual from January 2010 to January 2011. It describes their various work activities including a maternity leave contract, an apprenticeship upgrade, a mid-winter vacation, attending a political event, researching health topics, developing hemp products, exercising, presenting at a conference, spending time with family including a new baby, working in the oil industry, attending farm and industry events, and conducting hemp processing trials. The individual balances multiple careers in areas like science, business and policy.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

33. SOME DISEASES/CONDITIONS
ASSOCIATED WITH AGING ARE
Oxidative stress
Arthritis
Central nervous system degeneration
Parkinson’s
Alzheimer’s
Cannabidiol (CBD) the major cannabinoid in
hemp has been shown to be of benefit in each of
these and many other conditions
34. OXIDATIVE STRESS
CBD treatment significantly reduced oxidative stress;
decreased the levels of tumor necrosis factor, vascular
endothelial growth factor, and intercellular adhesion
molecule-1; and prevented retinal cell death and vascular
hyperpermeability in the diabetic retina. Consistent with
these effects, CBD treatment also significantly inhibited p38
MAP kinase in the diabetic retina. These results demonstrate
that CBD treatment reduces neurotoxicity, inflammation, and
BRB breakdown in diabetic animals.
EL Remessey AB et al. Neuroprotective and blood-retinal
barrier-preserving effects of cannabidiol in experimental
diabetes. Am J Pathol. 2006 Jan;168(1):235-44.
35. ARTHRITIS
These potentially anti-inflammatory properties of CBD,
together with the lack of psychotropic effect and low toxicity
prompted us to test the potential of CBD as a therapeutic
agent in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA).
RESULTS: “We report that CBD has a beneficial therapeutic
action on established CIA.”

cannabidiol is an oral anti-arthritic therapeutic in murine
collagen-induced arthritis. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2000

36. PARKINSON’S DISEASE
Evidence suggests that cannabinoids may prove useful in
Parkinson's disease by inhibiting the excitotoxic
neurotransmitter glutamate and counteracting oxidative damage
to dopaminergic neurons
Croxford JL. Therapeutic potential of cannabinoids in CNS
disease. CNS Drugs. 2003;17(3):179-202.
It seems that cannabinoids could delay or even stop progressive
degeneration of brain dopaminergic systems, a process for
which there is presently no prevention. In combination with
currently used drugs, cannabinoids might represent,
qualitatively, a new approach to the treatment of PD, making it
more effective.
Sevcik J, Masek K Potential role of cannabinoids in Parkinson's
disease DRUG AGING 16 (6): 391-395 JUN 2000
37. ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE
Memory loss, the first and primary symptom of Alzheimer’s
disease, can be slowed down significantly in mice by
cannabidiol.
In a study at the Cajal Institute in Madrid, Spain, mice were
injected with a molecule found in the brain of humans suffering
from Alzheimer’s disease, and then treated for one week with
cannabidiol.
Those mice injected with cannabidiol successfully performed
the task within 25-30 seconds, compared to control mice, who
took almost double the amount of time, 45-50 seconds, to
complete the task.
