Can’t stand me now – The Libertines Rebecca Houghton, Scott Shannon, Jake Newstead and Victoria Collings TEAM A* The Youthemism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HSd4p6sHEg
The Libertines English rock band Formed in London in 1997 Members : Pete Doherty Carl Barat John Hassell Gary Powell
More Info… They used to be known as The strand . Pete Doherty’s drug addiction drove the band into turmoil. They eventually broke up in 2005 after Carl Barat’s unwillingness to continue without Pete Doherty.
Killer shots Slow motion exploding lava lamp Throwing of objects to person as they stand motionless at front of shot Burning cigarettes and matches – this will be a motif used throughout the project and has also acted as inspiration for our band name.
Narrative / ideas A break up, two separate reactions. Opening sequence of music shows the couple happy and getting along together – speed up (flashback) One chorus of the band playing in a different location (beach etc)
Inspiration Bad day – Daniel Powter The split-screen imagery used in this video will be featured in our own video, it will show the two different sides of the couple.
Radiohead- Street Spirit We will use this effect in our own video by learning the lyrics at a faster speed and then slowing it all down to give the slow motion effect.
Locations We will film in simple local locations, the beach will be used and so will our own houses. Tynemouth beach reflects the dark genre of the music.

Actors BAND - Lead singer – Jake/Scott - Drummer - Jake/Scott - Guitarist – Aidan Mathews ACTORS/ACTRESS’ - Rebecca Houghton - Victoria Collings
The Youthemism After researching our initial idea for our band name we found that the matches was in use already, we then decided to use matches as the title for our album. We created the band name by looking at the images on the mood board and then putting the image the band portrayed into words. Our name is a pun on the word euphemism which actually contrasts with the stereotypical genre of the word and music.
