2. The Viewfinder is found on the back of the
camera. It is surrounded by a rubber lip which
stops light from leaking in.
The power button turns the device on, its located on the back left of
the canon xa10 devise above the LCD.
To switch the camera to manual setting, slide the switch to the center
dot below the ‘M’. This is located at the back right of the camera above
the strap.
The SD cards slots are located underneath
where the LCD screen rests when not in
used, there is slot A and B.
There is also a AV out and Component out
port.
3. The LCD screen is found on the
left hand side of the devise and
can be twisted and turned.
Audio setting can be manually controlled
using the dials on the audio control panel
above the LCD screen.
You can also use this control panel to switch
between audio inputs and the built in
camera microphone.
The XLR ports are found
on the handle of the
camera. These allows you
to connect an external
microphone
Here is the lens shield,
you can also manually
slide in ND filters to
change the F-stop so you
an film depth of field
shots in bright light.
The Zoom can be found on top
of the handle and on top of the
camera. You can change focus
using the ring around the lens.
4. When the camera and LCD are turned on, you can access the menu in by
pressing the top left hand corner icon titled ‘FUNC’.
Afterwards a screen will come up with various options, scroll down to access
more of them. One of the options is white balance. Tapping white balance
will give you various options for different white balance's.
To access options such as
ISO/Gain, exposure and shutter
speed, press the ‘Rec. Programs’
icon and then click on Tv for just
shutter speed, Av for just
aperture or M(manual
Exposure0 for all three.
Within Rec Programs the F-stop can be changed by pressing the top
icon out of the three and sliding the virtual scroll bar.
To change the shutter speed, you do the same but press on the middle
icon for it to show up on the virtual scroll bar.
Do the same with the last icon for ISO/Gain
