• Support new programs transition to Highland Industrial Park
and potential program suppliers in relocating to Camden and
surrounding counties
• Support the defense manufacturers located with-in the Highland
Industrial Park in areas which they identify as needs
― Example: Continuous Education and Certification Courses, Lean, KATA, TWI,
Statistical Process Control, 3D Printing and others
• Establish a HUBZone supplier base, in support of the SB DoD
numbers shortfall across the Army and Air force
• Integrate these initiatives under the Camden Defense Industry
Consortium (CDIC)

AEDC-MS and the Camden Defense Industry Consortium have established a
partnership providing manufacturing solutions and workshops to Arkansas
defense companies and industry
AEDC-MS offers services through
CDIC to assist clients as they work
towards operational excellence,
growth, and cost reduction by
providing services like lean, six
sigma, quality, Toyota Kata process
and coaching, and Training Within
Industries
AEDC-MS provides curriculum,
training, and hands on consulting to
companies who aspire to become
suppliers to the Aerospace and
Defense Contractor Industries. AEDC-
MS will work with the Consortium and
those companies to become certified
suppliers
Partnering with Industry to
Provide Continuous Education
Airgas University and the Camden Defense Industry Consortium
have established a partnership providing education to our local
defense companies and industry
Camden Defense Industry Consortium class room and hands on
lab environment will provide a local facility for users
Product, process, and safety training is critical in getting the most out of your
investment in personnel, as well as the equipment and products they use on the
job. In addition to increasing knowledge and performance, an effective training
program can help you comply with regulatory requirements. Airgas makes
training accessible and easy through the Airgas University or through the
Camden Defense Industry Consortium local class room and hands-on lab

•Established partnering between two local suppliers in support of MRO
supplies to the HIP Defense manufactures and Red River Army Depot

Camden Defense Business Initiative formed a defense industry
organization to work together and determine needs and prioritize goals
Design and build out an exciting 2,000 sq. ft.
space, located in the Ouachita Valley Business
and Technology Development Center
Obtain requirements from our defense
industry, SAU Tech to purchase and install 3D
printer for quick proof of concepts
There will be 3 Training tracks
Employee training track
Manufacturer training track
Small business training track
Partnering with SAU Tech, AEDC-
Manufacturing Solutions and Delta
Regional Authority (DRA)
The proposed following project would also
allow CDBI to incubate and accelerate the
growth of two separate small businesses in its
federally-designated HUBZone and provide
them each with 35k of seed monies – the first
business would specialize in the delivery of
training services and the second business
would specialize in broadband, value-added
network services
