A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

Trabajo por una ONG que se llama Help Them HOPE. Help Them HOPE es una organización sin fines de lucro ubicada en Lima, la cual se dedica a ayudar a jóvenes con discapacidad para que logren alcanzar independencia propia a través de educación continua, empleo, y a defender sus propios derechas. En Perú falta educacion, empleo y servicios para personas con discapacidad y es más dificil para ellos que no tiene la posicion economica para estudiar. Jovenes con discapacidad que vienen de families con recursos limitados usualmente no pueden tener recursos basicos para pagar su educacion y por eso les falta la oportunidad para mejorar sus vidas.
Por eso tenemos nuestro centro de educacion en Lima por San Luis donde brindamos muchas clases y servicios.
Tenemos clases de ingles, espanol, computacion, ortographia, frances, y tambien ofrecemos talleres durante todo el año.
Por ejemplo tuvimos un taller vocacional donde fue algunos profresionales de Lima para hablar sobre sus careeras y sus estudios. Fue un día espectacular por que todos los estudiantes querían aprender todo lo que podían y nadie quería dejar de preguntar a los presentadores. Los estudiantes tienen mucho motivacion y realmente querian ser parte de nuestra socieadad y queiren hacer mucho con sus vidas.
Esta es nuestra sala de computo, gracias a la donacion de Janet Lewis, Headmistress del colegio Hiram Bingham British International School of Lima.
Ella fue a visitarnos el sabado pasado, para conocer nuestra nueva sala de computo y a nuestra clase que tenemos cada sabado por la manana. Para nosotros, fue un gran placer mostrar nuestro servicio y hablar sobre lo que podemos hacer juntos en el futuro.

Esta encargado de la cocina. Sufre de un pie deformado y no puede caminar muy bien pero todavia esta estudiando muy duro, gracias al apoyo que esta recibiendo de Help Them HOPE.
Bueno, muchas personas siempre me preguntan como decidimos a quien vamos a ayudar. Help Them HOPE tiene una asocacion con un hogar en chaclacayo que se llama El Hogar San Francisco de Asís, el cual tiene 30 años establecido en Lima y todos nuestros estudiantes son ex pacientes de este hogar. Cuando su salud se ve recuperada y no necesitan mayor ayuda, dejan el hogar y los contactamos para ofrecer nuestro apoyo.
Jose Luis recibe clases de musica ya que quiere ser musico algun día. El es totalmente ciego pero le encanta lamusica y tiene un bueno talento natural. Ahorita, gracias al apoyo de El Hogar San Francisco de asís, esta en los EEUU esperando un tansplante de conea.
