CAFOD is the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, formed in 1960 by a group of women called the National Board Of Catholic. CAFOD works with over 500 partners overseas and in the UK to reduce poverty and work for a substantial and peaceful world as the official catholic aid agency for England and Wales. CAFOD helps over 844 million people gain access to clean water and sanitation through its Thirst for Change program, which saves lives in countries in Africa, South America, and Central America. Donating even just one pound per month can help CAFOD provide access to clean water and prevent children from dying due to drinking dirty water.
