Anne Frank was born in Germany in 1929 and moved with her family to Amsterdam in 1933 to escape Nazi persecution. During World War 2, Anne and her family went into hiding with another family in the secret annex of her father's office building. They lived there for two years until they were discovered in 1944 and sent to concentration camps, where Anne died at the age of 15. Her diary, which she wrote while in hiding, was published after her death and has become one of the most widely read books about the Holocaust.

had a sister named Margot, a dad called
Otto and a mom called Edith.

3. In 1933 the family moved to Amsterdam,
Holland as Hitler had came to power.

4. World War two broke out in 1939 and
the family went into hiding because
the Nazi’s were after any Jews and Anne
Frank and her family were Jews. The
family hid behind Otto’s (Anne's
father) office. They hid with another
family. They were in great danger of
being heard as there were people under
and above them. A woman called Miep
brought food and news of the war over
for them. It was very hard living in the
attic with 8 people in it.

5. The 8 people living with her were ,

6. On her 13th birthday Anne received a
diary and called it ‘kitty’. She
remembered to write in it every day.

7. She hid for two years and was finally
discovered in 1944 as someone told the
Nazi’s were they were. They were sent
to concentration camp called Bergen
Belsen.

8. Anne frank died at the age of only 15 in
the concentration camp and her father
Otto was the only one to survive.

9. Otto made a book out Anne’s diary and
millions of people all over the world
have read it.
