This document summarizes a study that used tetrahydrofuran (THF) as a co-solvent to enhance the production of fuel precursors like furfural, hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), and levulinic acid from maple wood biomass. Key findings include:
1) THF allowed over 90% of lignin to be extracted from maple wood while hydrolyzing it to sugars, achieving higher yields of fuel precursors than water alone.
2) A maximum overall yield of 87% of theoretical fuel precursors from C5 and C6 sugars was achieved using a THF to water ratio of 1:1.
3) Solids remaining after THF treatment were highly digestible

Separation of L-Phenylalanine by Solvent Sublation and Solvent Extraction MethodBRNSS Publication Hub
Aims and Objectives: Separation and purification is a series of processes intended to isolate a single type of biomolecule from a complex mixture. Innovations in improvement of biodownstream processing, which is responsible for the separation of about 50–80% of recombinant proteins and other biomolecules, play a very important role in increasing the yield and reducing the cost of biopharmaceutical production. Methods: Biomolecule isolation and purification from a fermentation broth usually involve centrifugation, filtration, adsorption, and chromatography steps. Results and Discussions: Each step contributes to the product cost and product loss. Thus, we consider that solvent extraction and solvent sublation are the more economic processes for the separation of biomolecules. Conclusion: In extraction of phenylalanine, maximum extraction was observed at amino acid: surfactant ratio 1:1, amino acid: extractant ratio 1:1500, and pH at 3.1. The highest value of % recovery percentage and Co/Cw was 76.3 and 10.21, respectively. The main motive of this article is to provide the advantages of study on the solvent sublation and solvent extraction of l-phenylalanine over the other techniques.
In this work a new prodrug polymer was
prepared with two attachment groups (amid-ester), using di
functional spacer such as ethanol amine, which could react with
polyacrylic acid producing amide group, with remain ethanol
terminal group which could react with captopril acyl chloride,
producing ester group with extended the arm substituted drug to
improve the hydrolysis and to prevent the steric effect of polymer
chains. Many advantages enhanced the prodrug of polymer. The
prepared polymers were characterized by FTIR, 1H –NMR
spectroscopies. Controlled drug release was studied in different
pH values at 37℃, using UV. Spectra with comparing with
calibration curve. The modification percentage test was studied, and swelling percentage was calculated and all physical properties were observed.

Graphene oxide immobilized copper phthalocyanine tetrasulphonamide: the first...Pawan Kumar
The first successful synthesis of DMC directly from methanol and carbon dioxide using a heterogenized
homogeneous graphene oxide immobilized copper phthalocyanine tetrasulphonamide catalyst in the
presence of N,N0-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) as a dehydrating agent is described. The presence of a
dehydrating agent was found to be vital and in its absence the yield of DMC was found to be decreased
significantly. Under the optimized reaction conditions, the maximum yield of DMC reaches up to 13.3%.
Although the homogeneous copper phthalocyanine tetrasulphonamide catalyst provided a little higher
yield of DMC (14.2%), the facile recovery and recycling ability of the heterogeneous catalyst make the
developed method more attractive from environmental and economical viewpoints.
Chain extenders are used for used for improving the melt-strength for EBM grade PET and also used in PCR PET flakes moulding to minimize the IV drop.
SSP accelerators are used to reduce the SSP time by increasing IV fast

Studies on some economic and effective Ion exchange Resin used as catalyst in...IOSR Journals
Terrenes are the abundant group of natural compounds that can be transformed into products of higher commercial value by organic reaction under the influence of suitable catalyst. Isolongifoline ketone was synthesized by Isolongifoline with the application of ion exchange catalyst viz. Tulsion T-421, Tulsion T-521, Indion 225, Indion 770.It is evident that Tulsion T-421 & T-521 shows higher yield of Isolongifoline ketone due to its characteristics. Characterization of resin was done by determine the elemental analysis, ion exchange capacity, FTIR analysis, TGA and SEM analysis. The significance of the ion exchange resin is revealed by the conversion of Isolongifoline to Isolongifoline ketone.Thermax T-421was finding to possess the higher selectivity for isolongifoline ketone and high thermal stability.
