3. Introduction of C
C is a general-purpose programming language created by Dennis Ritchie at the Bell
Laboratories in 1972. It is a very popular language, despite being old. The main reason
for its popularity is because it is a fundamental language in the field of computer
science.
Introduction of C++
C++ is an object-oriented programming language which gives a clear structure to programs and allows
code to be reused, lowering development costs. C++ is portable and can be used to develop applications
that can be adapted to multiple platforms
4. History of c
A successor to the programming language B, C was originally developed at Bell Labs
by Ritchie between 1972 and 1973 to construct utilities running on Unix. It was applied
to re-implementing the kernel of the Unix operating system. During the 1980s, C
gradually gained popularity.
HISTORY OF C++
The C++ language is an object-oriented programming language & is a combination
of both low-level & high-level language – a Middle-Level Language. The
programming language was created, designed & developed by a Danish Computer
Scientist – Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Telephone Laboratories (now known as Nokia Bell
Labs) in Murray Hill, New Jersey. As he wanted a flexible & a dynamic language which
was similar to C with all its features, but with additionality of active type checking,
basic inheritance, default functioning argument, classes, inlining, etc. and hence C
with Classes (C++) was launched.
6. Features of C++
C++ is a general-purpose programming language that was developed as an
enhancement of the C language to include an object-oriented paradigm. It is an
imperative and compiled language. C++ has a number of features, including:
Object-Oriented Programming
Machine Independent
Simple
High-Level Language
Popular
Case-sensitive
Compiler Based
Dynamic Memory Allocation
Memory Management
Multi-threading
8. Operators in C++ :-
An operator is a symbol that operates on a value to perform specific mathematical or logical
computations. They form the foundation of any programming language. In C++, we have built-in
operators to provide the required functionality.
An operator operates the operands. For example,
int c = a + b;
Here, ‘+’ is the addition operator. ‘a’ and ‘b’ are the operands that are being ‘added’.
9. Operators in C++ can be classified into 6 types:
1.Arithmetic Operators
2.Relational Operators
3.Logical Operators
4.Bitwise Operators
5.Assignment Operators
6.Ternary or Conditional Operators
10. C++ Tokens
In C++, tokens can be defined as the smallest building block of C++ programs that the compiler understands.
Every word in a C++ source code can be considered a token.
Types of Tokens in C++
We have several types of tokens each of which serves a specific purpose in the syntax and
semantics of C++. Below are the main types of tokens in C++:
1.Identifiers
2. Keywords
3. Constants
4. Strings
5. Special Symbols
6. Operators
11. CONCLUSION:-
C++ is a versatile programming language known for its support of both procedural and
object-oriented programming. It offers fine-grained control over memory management
and is widely used in various industries.
The training program having three destination was a lot more useful than staying at one place
throughout the whole 4 weeks. In my opinion. I have gained lots of knowledge and experience
needed to be successful in great engineering challenge as in my opinion, Engineering is after
all a Challenge, and not a job.
