Ag. High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago
In 1985 he was appointed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and gained
exposure in the Marine Affairs Division, the International Economic
Relations Division, the Protocol Division, the Marine and Legal Division
and the Office of the Prime Minister. He has held diplomatic posts in
Venezuela, India and London. From 2007-2012 he was the Head of the
Africa, Asia, Middle East and Pacific Unit (AAMEP), Bilateral Relations
Division and when the AAMEP Unit developed into the AAMEP
Division, Herbert became the Director of the Division.
