4. We started with free kitelessons in the season 2019,
bringing the children to the beach and forming the
Soul Tatajuba community.

In 2020 we added english and french classes with a
voluntary teacher, which taught english and french
to the kids.
Tatajuba is a world class kite spot and home to a wonderful, warm, inviting group of people. One of them is Gleison. Kitesurfing
gave him access to the world! Like many young kiters from humble beginnings, it has allowed him to travel, learn, meet amazing
people and live a great life. Now he has made it his mission to give the kids of Tatajuba, the same opportunities that he has
been afforded in life. He started Soul Tatajuba, a social project focused on education, sport and social development. Without
speaking english the children have barely a chance to get well paid jobs which are at their doorstep. The way into kite surfing is
equally difficult as they can not afford the equipment or lessons. These are the issues we want to tackle in 2022.
2021 we ran the kite lessons only. The associated
costs for language classes could not be covered
anymore without donation help.

In July 2022 we have hired Andrea as a full time teacher for Soul Tatajuba. This was possible with our We Make it Campaign
2021. Now the children can swim, learn body work, english, kite-surfing, capoeira and many other things that foster friendship,
collaboration and social stability. Some of the children started to help their parents, learning english for their profession.

The primary goal is to establish regular language classes
with a contracted teacher that run continually,
starting July 2022.
The donations will finance those activties and associated
logistic costs. Children who join language lessons will be
rewarded with free kite lessons at the beach.
We aim to collect used kite gear, so that the children have
access to the equipment, which they can not afford
otherwise.
Furthermore we will organise community building
workshops to different topics such as health, music, art, a
choir or natural preservation for further social
developments.
The workshops will be driven by volunteers.
A small percentage of the donations will finance potential
logistic costs for the workshops such as transfers, food &
water for these activities.

11. Soul Tatajuba is driven by volunteers with limited time and availability. The organisation needs to be
built in small, but solid steps to a sustainable and lean organisation that focuses on a continually
education program for the children. It is mission critical to have continuation and volunteers who
are on on board to make a change.

13. How many children does the program reach?
Approximately 25 children between 6 and 18 years will benefit from the education program.
Kitesurfing probably 10 of them. Depending on funds we can reach more children of neighborhoods.
What is the donation used for?
The majority of the money will go to the english classes. A small amount will go to administration and
logistics of the workshops. The board members, treasurer and volunteers give their time for the
project for free.
Why Kite Surfing and English?
Tatajuba is a world class kite spot and linked to the growing tourism industry. Connecting the
children with the sport and the language, brings them out of their routine and opens doors for a
better future. But also workshops about health and natural preservation will impact positively.
What is happening with my money right now?
The donations are currently saved in two accounts. One account in Brasil and one account in
Switzerland under the ownership of Jürgen Künkel. Jürgen acts as treasurer of the funds until a
foundation is in place. Finance Reports will be submitted to the donors on request.
