Caviar is a intricacy composed of salt-kippered eggs of Sturgeons of the
Acipenseridae family. Normally, the word “caviar” means only to eggs (roe) from
the wild sturgeons located at the Caspian Sea and Black Sea. Caviar can also be
used to describe the eggs (roe) of other fishes such as salmon, trout, whitefish,
lumpfish, steelhead, carp, and others. Caviar are eaten as spread or garnish.

The word “caviar “originates from the Turkish
word “Khav-yar” at means “Cake of Power.".
Since long years back Sturgeons have been a part of the Elite Middle Eastern and
Eastern Europe diet and was considered as the “food of the gods”.
During early 1800 century Persians thought caviars had medicinal powers and also
in the Middle Ages the English Kings pronounced Sturgeon "Royal Fish“ and only
they can eat Sturgeon.
From 2001-2005 illegal caviar weighted at KG 12000 were seized by
EU states.
