This document describes a system to announce bus arrivals and departures at metro bus stations. The system uses RF transmitters on buses to broadcast identifying signals and RF receivers at stops to detect approaching buses. An LCD display and speaker then notify waiting passengers of the incoming bus and its destination. Infrared sensors help determine if buses are arriving or departing the stop. The system aims to inform passengers, especially those who are illiterate or tired, of which bus is coming.
