PROBLEM AT
CAUSE
Mental health and depression levels are now
at an all time high
Common workplace standards across the
world are not prepared for the global mental
health crisis
There is an extreme lack of communication
between team members, various
departments, and overall work environment
Certain careers require obtrusive hours that
take a toll not only mentally but physically
THE CRISIS:
Mental Health, for most is very
private. Making it hard for those
struggling to cope
Mental illness affects more than
you know it. Chances are
somebody your close with is
struggling.
Acknowledging the issue and
implementing safe practices
standards is how to protect our
communities

IN THE WORKPLACE
For most, the workplace is where one spends the most of
their time throughout their life
Occupations tend to define who people are
Different social constructs and backgrounds factor into the
workplace
Some jobs require travel, and various moves for employees
making it hard for those struggling to find time to adapt
-Mental health is the
least talked about issue
in our country today
-Suicide rates in the
workplace is an ever-
growing concern
-With lack of knowledge
and proper education on
these issues, these
numbers will continue to
rise
THE
“SOLUTION”
There is no “one” singular solution to this
problem
Achieving a healthy workplace takes
efforts from all counterparts
Embedding education on these topics is
crucial
Setting standards and practices in the
workplace

-Those that feel safe in their
workplace have proven to be better
employees
-Allowing breaks, changes of scenery,
and new approaches can all help
improve overall teamwork.
-Encourage using hiring diverse
groups of people allows new topics,
ideas, issues, and conversation
between individual.
PERSONAL INSIGHT
As one who struggles with anxiety, knowing how you fit into a space
can be challenging.
I chose this topic because of issues I have faced in the workplace
while also trying to cope with personal things.
I was able to educate myself on data that I found not only about
mental health, but how to improve the workplace
This project allowed me to shed light on an issue that can be solved
at its core, if we all do our part in making a better community.

THE PROBLEM AT CAUSE Mental health and depression levels are now at an all time high Common workplace standards across the world are not prepared for the global mental health crisis There is an extreme lack of communication between team members, various departments, and overall work environment Certain careers require obtrusive hours that take a toll not only mentally but physically
  • 3. THE CRISIS: Mental Health, for most is very private. Making it hard for those struggling to cope Mental illness affects more than you know it. IN THE WORKPLACE For most, the workplace is where one spends the most of their time throughout their life Occupations tend to define who people are Different social constructs and backgrounds factor into the workplace Some jobs require travel, and various moves for employees making it hard for those struggling to find time to adapt
  • 5. -Mental health is the least talked about issue in our country today -Suicide rates in the workplace is an ever- growing concern -With lack of knowledge and proper education on these issues, these numbers will continue to rise
  • 6. THE “SOLUTION” There is no “one” singular solution to this problem Achieving a healthy workplace takes efforts from all counterparts Embedding education on these topics is crucial Setting standards and practices in the workplace
  • 7. SOURCE: Europelanguages.com -Those that feel safe in their workplace have proven to be better employees -Allowing breaks, changes of scenery, and new approaches can all help improve overall teamwork. -Encourage using hiring diverse groups of people allows new topics, ideas, issues, and conversation between individual.
  • 8. PERSONAL INSIGHT As one who struggles with anxiety, knowing how you fit into a space can be challenging. I chose this topic because of issues I have faced in the workplace while also trying to cope with personal things. I was able to educate myself on data that I found not only about mental health, but how to improve the workplace This project allowed me to shed light on an issue that can be solved at its core, if we all do our part in making a better community.
