2. BIM Services Arup’s models are created in such a way that allows them to be easily taken forward and developed to higher order levels of development (LOD). This can enable models to be used for construction, through to ongoing facilities management. Arup is experienced in working with multidisciplinary teams using multiple BIM models. Arup uses a BIM environment to communicate internally and externally via NavisWorks saved view points and BCF zip files to resolve any coordination and design issues. 3. New Perth Stadium: BIM Scope and Guidance Documentation In addition to providing multi-discipline engineering services, Arup was engaged as the independent BIM Manager for the new Perth Stadium. Arup is assisting the Contractor in developing a BIM Management Plan and ensuring BIM deliverables meet the State Government’s requirements. All engineering elements are being modelled in 3D and a collaborative BIM approach is being used for coordination purposes. The BIM model will ultimately reflect the ‘as- built’ condition of the stadium and will be configured so it can be used for ongoing facilities management. 4. Space mapping services using Point Cloud data Arup can verify building existing services through the use of ‘space mapping’ and Point Cloud data manipulation. Arup has the technology and skills to verify existing building services using a laser scanner to create Point Cloud data.
