3.  Media Coalition Against Child Malnutrition (MeCAM) Nigeria was founded on Thursday,
August 28, 2015, as a media advocacy group against child malnutrition and to strengthen
the capacity and well-being of its members professionally in contribution to nation-building,
especially in Nigeria.

 This follows a 2-phased Malnutrition and CMAM Media Dialogue in Kano and Calabar, with
the assistance of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Nigeria and Ministry
of Information in a joint effort at reducing malnutrition in the country by sharing of
information, education and research findings in line with global best practices in alliance
with other interested organisations both locally and internationally with similar objectives.

some challenges before the progress of the
Coalition.
