The most significant factor influencing the efficiency lies in the operational skills of people through all hierarchy levels.
The Open COURSES at the BSE ACADEMY take place all year round with specific subjects on specific dates. Our
courses are aiming for individual participants, experts from different companies.
Managers know how to lead people and business processes, but often the link to
the steelmaking operations is missing.
Supervisors have a different understanding of their role. They mostly are either the
main actors or the “office manager“. But they are not managing the crews!
Operators in many countries have neither an adequate basic education nor experience in the steel industry. But
these are the people running the capital-intensive equipment!

2. The main target is either to provide operators, supervisors and managers with hands-on training for their jobs or to
improve the skill level in their present jobs.
Advanced Management Training
What it is
A training seminar which will extend the leadership and managerial skills of the participants in order to transform

Classic Seminars
This is where it all began: Steelmakers, operators and managers from all around the world visit BSW in Kehl to
witness one of the world’s most efficient mini-mills in action. As part of our customised consultancy contracts, our
seminars not only provide a great learning experience but also an uplifting motivational “kick“ – looking over the top of
the rim has already changed many people’s perception: What’s possible here today can also happen elsewhere!
BSE conducts Training Seminars for selected personnel of its customers at BSW works in Kehl, Germany. The
participants get general instructions in technology supplemented by practical hands-on training at BSW facilities and
maintenance. The training program can be modified in accordance with the customer’s requests. So, detailed
seminar programs will be discussed and agreed to meet the specific requirements of the customer.
