5. BVCART: Requirements
1. The non-family abduction of a minor child (under the age of 18);
or
2. The abduction of a minor child (under the age of 18) with
endangerment circumstances. These circumstances must clearly
be articulated to the BVCART Coordinator. The child’s
disappearance or abduction shall meet the endangerment criteria
if the child’s life or well-being is perceived to be at risk (due to
violence or health conditions), or if the identified parental
abductor has a potential for violence or could endanger the child;
or
3. Any other abduction or missing child investigation that requires
immediate response in order to protect the well-being of the
child.

13. Who We Are
Composed of both career and civilian volunteers the
Brazos Valley Incident Management Team was
created to support jurisdictions and agencies
throughout the Brazos Valley when faced with large
scale or complex incidents.

14. What BVIMT can do for you:
• Provide personnel and asset tracking
• Provide assistance in creation of Incident Action Plans
for incidents lasting more than a single operational
period or that involve multiple jurisdictions
• Provide assistance in creation of Event Action Plans
for local events or gatherings, including day of
occurrence operations.
• Provide Logistical management and support.
• Provide record-keeping that will help in the event your
jurisdiction has to apply for state or federal
assistance/reimbursement.
• Or just bring you a cup of coffee.

15. How to activate BVIMT:
• Contact Brazos County Dispatch at 979-361-3888 and
request that the team be deployed. You will need to provide
the following information:
1. Point of Contact with cell number
2. Type of incident and location
3. Resources needed
• You will be contacted by a Team Leader who will gather more
information and ensure that the appropriate personnel and
resources are deployed to support your incident.
• The Team Leader will advise you of the ETA of the team.
• Routine questions regarding the BVIMT should be directed to
Jerry Henry at the CEOC at 979-821-1030.

29. The Brazos County Wildland Task Force is
available to all Counties in the BVCOG Region
as well as across the State of Texas.
Deployment Resources Include:
 3 to 5 Type 6 Engines (Brush Trucks) with a Crew of 2 on Each Engine
 1 Tender with a Crew of 1 for Water Supply
 1 Support Vehicle with the Tack Force Leader (If Available)
 All Personnel Deployed are Trained and Certified to a minimum of SFFMA or TCFP
Wildland Basic Firefighter with a current TIFMAS Wildland Card.
 From the time of Activation it takes about an Hour to be in route to your scene
from Brazos County
