85% of clinical trials fail to recruit enough patients, 80% fail to finish on time. A key issue is 70% of patients live more that 2 hours from the study site. Wearable devices can support the collection of real world data in the patients home as well as create novel endpoints
At eClinicalWorks, we are 5,000 employees dedicated to improving healthcare together with our customers. More than 130,000 physicians nationwide — and more than 850,000 medical professionals around the globe — rely upon us for comprehensive clinical documentation, along with solutions for Practice Management, Population Health, Patient Engagement, and Revenue Cycle Management.

Computational Intelligence (CI) is one of the major pillars of Artificial Intelligence. It is the study, design, and development of intelligent software based on the theory of evolution. Within the past decade, healthcare has become expensive. Also, with the declining doctor-patient ratio, there are constant needs for computing systems for everything from executing simple tasks, such as booking appointments, to major services such as consulting and diagnosis...

Getting a medical device to the patient takes more than good technology in today's environment. Compelling evidence and convincing value proposition matter. Competing priorities and differing stakeholder definitions of value are driving the need for creative, connected strategies to get the most from each step in the development process. And - as evidence is gathered - it should be used to inform and iterate regulatory, reimbursement and clinical post-market strategies.

Incorporating Digital Technology into Clinical TrialsPerficient, Inc.
Innovative mobile technologies are continuously being introduced, and savvy life sciences organizations are taking note. Many of these technologies have the potential to drastically reduce the time and cost of clinical trials, from subject recruitment to data collection, not to mention likely create a boost in patient engagement.
In our webinar, Perficient’s director of clinical operations solutions, Param Singh, explored the opportunities and challenges some of these new and emerging technologies present for the life sciences industry.
Topics included wearable devices, biosensors, mobile phones, integrations with clinical and safety systems, and patient-driven clinical research.
By leveraging Big Data, the healthcare industry has an incredible potential to improve lives. This session will give examples of how data volume, velocity and variety is transforming the “art” of a doctor to the science of care. It will describe how the use of machine learning and massive amount of data will drive the new Consumer Drive healthcare movement.
Take your Idea. Develop your Product. Test it, Sell it, and Exit. Innovative clinical minds face difficulties actualizing great product ideas because of the complexities associated with healthcare product development. A successful healthcare innovation development process involves integrating many complex disciplines at the highest level of quality in order to provide patients with the safest and most effective treatment options. As a result, many innovators never begin to develop their ideas because of intimidation or lack of resources. Some innovators go through the stressful and costly undertaking of an improvised development process that ultimately leads to a less than optimum product and poor financial returns. In order to solve this problem, we created a comprehensive platform to efficiently translate ideas into effective and successful healthcare products.
No Population health withouth the right foundationOrion Health
We examined foundational interoperability and the value of actionable longitudinal patient records – the cornerstone of a successful population health strategy.
We took an inside look at how North Dakota HIN (NDHIN), a leading healthcare institution paramount in the fight on some of population health’s biggest challenges, has succeeded in building a flexible and scalable technical foundation for the population health initiatives of its participating providers.
North Dakota HIN Information Technology Director, Sheldon Wolf, and Orion Health’s Vice President of Healthier Populations, Suzanne Cogan, presented on new deep data and the technology foundation in place to deploy pop health applications and services. Discover DNHIN strategy for care management, coordination and transition of care, and how upcoming integrated real-time analytics will quickly replace cumbersome reporting spreadsheets, home-grown tools and mix-match of siloed applications.
The North Dakota Health Information Network (NDHIN), is dedicated to improving healthcare by creating a secure, medical record sharing network for providers and consumers.
NDHIN Health Information Technology Office is responsible for implementing this information network, developing efficient health record systems, and implement value-added services for population health initiatives. The NDHIN manages 880,000 patients records and has 42 participating hospitals, 186 provider organizations, and two major payers.
In this presentation, you can see:
o The interoperability strategy used by NDHIN to build the foundation for its participants’ population health initiatives (Sheldon)
o How NDHIN has created a solid data foundation and their data strategy (Sheldon)
o The benefits of value-added services running on top of the critical data foundation (Sheldon on data today and strategy + services offering today and strategy)
The importance of a real-time analytics engine capable of creating a payer registry, a real-time patient registry, and a managed database

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
