Dr. PRAKASH H. PATIL.
I am presently working as Professor in E&TC Dept. at STE’S SKN-Sinhgad Institute of
Technology & Science (SKN-SITS), Lonavala, Pune. I am having 23 years of Teaching
experience at UG/PG level in Engg. College and 1.5 years Industrial experience as R&D
Engineer and development engineer. I have completed my PhD (Electronics Engg.) in May,
2014. I am holding the position of the Executive Committee Member of IETE Pune Centre from
year 2010 till today and got elected for two times. Recently, I have been elected as Vice
Chairman of IETE Pune centre.
Recently, I have honored with the prestigious MORAYA PURASKAR 2016 for the
contribution in social work, spiritual work and Engineering Education.
I have published 60 plus Research papers in reputed international/National Journals /IEEE
conf. proceedings, IEEE Explorer & International /National conf proceedings etc. I have
worked as Session chair for many International /National conferences/ National Journal. I am
Life Member of ISTE (LMISTE) and Fellow Member of IETE (FIETE).
I have worked as the Member of Technical Committee / Advisory Committee/ organizing
committee, Reviewer for IEEE / International / National Journals / conferences. I have
organized many workshops/Seminars/ Expert lectures /FDP/ Industrial Visits by renowned
people from industries and academia for students and faculty.
I have attended many International / National Conferences, FDP’s, STTP’S, Syllabi Rev.
workshops, International Symposium / Intl. workshops etc.
I was in association with many important committees of the Engg. institutes which leads to the
academic and administrative developments and excellence for branding of the institute. I am
approved PG Teacher of University of Pune in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
discipline. I have positioned various committees such as Member Staff Selection Committee,
Member LIC Committee, Director CAP Shivaji University, Chairman Squad UoP Exam, etc.
My research interest is in Optical Wireless Communication, Mobile Communication,
Communication Optical Networks, Research Methodology, Telecommunication Networks
Management, Voice Networks, Free Space Optics, Mechatronics, Digital Signal Processing etc.
