close to that of the school with a 41% African
American population, 29% White and 43%
Hispanic (U.S. Census Bureau Fact Finder). Of
the adults in the surrounding
community, 7.9% have earned a Bachelor’s
degree or higher (U.S. Census Bureau, 2011).
