Nuvia is a nuclear contractor, specialising within the civilian and defence sectors,
across the complete lifecycle from new build, through operations and maintenance,
to final decommissioning and waste management.
BPS has managed all of Nuvia’s recruitment for
engineering, technical, commercial, project and scientific,
agency and permanent personnel since 2009.
BPS has a permanent on-site presence and dedicated
account management team that attends all interviews
alongside the hiring manager.
Nuvia first engaged BPS on a project recruitment basis in
2005, with the remit to grow Nuvia’s Southern Region
capability with 50 additional permanent staff in 6 months.
Having successfully delivered every project assigned to
them since 2005, BPS were invited to competitively tender
for a 5 year full RPO service in 2009 and in doing so,
successfully bid against several of the industry’s biggest
names.
Another key element of the solution is engaging with
Nuvia throughout the recruitment process to ensure
requirements are met through planning resource
accurately and detailed live MI reporting. BPS also
developed a bespoke Nuvia branded web-based contract
management system which links to Nuvia’s accounting
systems for clear, auditable cost management, and
consolidated invoicing process for all contract personnel.
Upon successful commencement of the contract BPS’s
responsibility had grown to managing the recruitment
process for all UK projects, engineering and commercial
resources. Our key objectives were to deliver tangible
results, improve quality and reduce cost and time per
hire.
The solution delivers in excess of 300 permanent and
temporary placements a year.
BPS is engaged as a supplier of candidates and a manager
of the end to end recruitment process, including partnering
with the recruitment Supply Chain (sub-agencies).
The BPS solution focused on creating a more efficient
recruitment process to improve the candidate and hiring
manager’s experience. This aided in reducing cost per hire
by increasing internal referrals, utilising BPS in-house team.
This is a best in class service tailored to Nuvia’s
requirements which is completely unique in the industry.
BPS has developed a collaborative relationship through
utilising clear communications mediums. This relationship
has allowed Nuvia to benefit from considerable cost
savings – in excess of £100,000 within the first 12
months by reducing the reliance on agencies and
creating a more streamlined and efficient recruitment
process.
