This document discusses the differences between careers in IT and BPO industries. It notes that while IT jobs often have higher salaries, constant updating of skills is needed in both industries to avoid saturation. For those unable to find IT jobs immediately after college, the author suggests some may pursue further education while others take BPO jobs and continue searching for IT roles. The document argues that BPO jobs should no longer be seen as temporary and can provide stable employment, though many still prefer IT careers. It concludes that each profession has value and merits dedication rather than discrimination.

2016 Predictions for the Luxury Industry: Executive SummaryPosLux
In this report, we identify the most impactful events of 2015 and look forward to the biggest trends of 2016 in the world of luxury and sustainability.
2015 propelled the luxury industry forward when it comes to how they think about sustainability. The biggest shift, (and one of the most important ones to help accelerate changes from the top down), is the rise in demand from investment communities for sustainable business models. For years, investors have focused on a company’s financial performance and determined if purchasing stock was worth it based on if the company was profitable. Now, sustainable investing strategies are growing, as investors are realising that performance is intertwined in future social and environmental impact.
C-suites are starting to realise that in order to keep creating value, and accelerating growth they must invest in and improve how their company impacts society as a whole, and most importantly how they communicate that positive impact.
There is one group in particular that aligns with this concept more than any other. Millennials are almost three times as likely to look to work for a company because of its social and environmental practices(1).
And the demand from affluent millennials doesn’t stop at employment opportunities. 2015 saw millennials using their spending power more and more to vote for companies who positively impact society and the environment – in fact – they are twice as likely to buy from brands with strong management of environmental and social issues(2).
2015 was also the year governments and world leaders took action too. With the launch of the Sustainability Development Goals, COP 21, and the passing of the Modern Slavery Act, creating, maintaining and growing companies with a positive social and environmental impact will soon become a legal obligation.
All these changes have left luxury companies with no option but to improve as the potential for sales and stocks to plummet increases, and the hand of the law hangs over them.
With that in mind, we look forward to 2016 and the trends that will help luxury companies continue on their sustainability journey. New innovations, communication techniques and constant evaluations of how consumers view brands will allow companies to keep marching forward in the fight to stay at the top of their game in a world that demands socially and environmentally responsible brands more than ever before.

Bpo vs IT
1. BPO vs. IT
Dear All,
IT or BPO job
Yes the most haunting question for the people in the industry at the initial stages
after coming out of the college or while looking out for job.
White collar jobs and fat salary package is all that people are looking and one has
to understand that neither the salary nor the designation is going to change their
lives forever.
Constant updates is all the mantra in IT industry and BPO industry. Saturation
can happen very easily if that constant updating is not there in these industries.
2. Quest for IT jobs:
After completing an engineering degree and if its a computer related course that
candidate has to land in software jobs reason is very obvious the fat package.
However there are times and most of the times when the candidate is not able to
land in those jobs then comes the issue of what to do ????
One option is that they update their knowledge by getting into higher studies
and some prefer to stay idle and look for that offer letter from the dream
company.
Other option is work in some BPO and search for software jobs
simultaneously???
3. BPO JOBS:
Very often seen as an stopgap just to fill the space and leave when they get what they
where looking out for.
Things have changed a little but still predominantly people look for jobs in software so
time has come wherein people have to look at other avenues.
Let me put in my thought over here this is not a debate about which is the best
industry each industry has its own pros and cons and now that BPO has established
itself as a self sufficient industry employment opportunities are plenty it's that
mindset of the people has to change.
When you look at the market its very volatile its totally unstable in this scenario it is
purely survival of the fittest. We have score's of people graduating everyday from
institutions but jobs for them is minimal.
We have an option over here either you have to be looking for domain related job or
avail the opportunity that is at hand and look for domain related opportunities and
this does not mean once you get the job in your domain you abruptly leave the place
where you were working.
4. Conclusion:
Please do not discriminate jobs, each profession has its merit,
An engineer may not be good at Call Handling and vice versa so treat professions alike.
When we take up some profession give due respect and dedication.
So its ultimately professionalism that matters....
