This document discusses four types of extracurricular activities that can boost a student's resume: 1) Activities related to one's major that provide opportunities to network and gain practical skills in their field of interest. 2) Clubs founded by the student which shows initiative and leadership. 3) Organizations where the student takes on a leadership role to develop important skills employers seek. 4) Service groups where students can gain experience tied to their career interests while also helping their community. Getting involved in these types of on-campus activities beyond academics can round out one's skills and make students more well-rounded and interesting candidates to employers.
