God is the perfect, holy and righteous judge. As judge, He created the world and humanity, which were originally good, but also gave the perfect law which people are unable to keep due to human weakness. As the perfect creator and judge, humans are in no position to question God or His actions, which are always just and for His good purposes.

The passage recounts God speaking to Joshua after the death of Moses, instructing Joshua to lead the Israelites into the promised land. God assures Joshua that:
1) He has prepared the land for the Israelites to inherit;
2) Joshua should leave the past behind and cross over the Jordan River; and
3) Joshua should focus on God, not other people, as God will be with Joshua as He was with Moses and will not leave or forsake him.
What challenge did the nation of Israel encounter in Joshua 1:1? If you were Joshua how would you have felt? Why do you think God told him, “be strong and of good courage”? How does our definition of success influence or affect our lives? How would you define success? How does the world view success? How did the Lord use the word “success” in Joshua 1:6-9? Name 3 examples of those who are successful in the Bible and 3 who were not. What made the difference in their lives? Name the 3 commands God gave to Joshua in verses 6-9. Which command did he repeat? How many times? Why? Why does it take courage to obey the word of God? These and other questions are addressed in this study in Joshua 1.

Second Coming of Jesus Christ by Dr Jose PouloseJose Poulose
Jesus warns that many false prophets will appear and deceive people by performing signs and miracles. People should not believe anyone who claims that the Messiah is in a certain place, such as the desert or inner rooms. Jesus' second coming will be visible like lightning across the sky. As in the days of Noah and Lot, people will be unaware until disaster suddenly strikes. Believers should watch and pray to escape what is coming and stand before the Son of Man. No one knows the day or hour of Jesus' return except God the Father. Believers should always be ready because he will come unexpectedly.

The summary applies this lesson to church leadership, emphasizing that many hands lighten the load when responsibilities are delegated to others.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

3. After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord
said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, “Moses
my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this
Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am
giving to them, to the people of Israel. Every place that the
sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as
I promised to Moses. From the wilderness and this
Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates,
4. all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the
going down of the sun shall be your territory. No man shall
be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as
I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you
or forsake you.
- Joshua 1:1-5
5. It is into the danger, toward the chaos; that
is where God wants you to go.
6. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people
to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give
them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to
do according to all the law that Moses my servant
commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or
to the left, that you may have good success wherever you
go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may
be careful to do according to all that is written in it.
7. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you
will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be
strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not
be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever
you go.”
- vv. 6-9
9. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the
countries and bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle
clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your
uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put
within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your
flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit
within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be
10. careful to obey my rules. You shall dwell in the land that I
gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will
be your God. And I will deliver you from all your
uncleannesses. And I will summon the grain and make it
abundant and lay no famine upon you.
- Ezekiel 36:24-29
12. “There” - the place where God is your God;
nothing else and no one else!
13. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the
Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
14. “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and
take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save
his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake
will find it.”
– Matthew 16:24-25
15. What are you doing that requires strength
and courage?
